Who is this Christine chick, anyway?
Hello here! I'm Christine...29, married with four furbabies (read: dogs), born and raised in Southern California, and a brand new paleo eater.
I am realizing that I am easily persuaded by documentaries. I watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" and hubby and I invested in Jack LaLane's precious. After "Forks Over Knives", we got into eating whole foods, bought a Magic Bullet, and took up veganism. This time, we watched "The Perfet Human Diet", and I'm going cavegirl and will do my best to live a (pretty damn) paleo lifestyle.
In 2010 I realized I needed to make a change in my life - my weight clocked in at 199 and I was wearing size 16 pants. I started counting calories and working out. Over the course of two years I lost about 45 pounds. At the beginning of 2013, along with the Magic Bullet, we purchased a weight set/bench and treadmill. I noticed a definite difference in my body and was enjoying feeling good, but, in late 2013 I got a great new job and the weight started creeping back up. While I was running, I wasn't watching what I was eating, nor was I lifting weights (I HATE LIFTING!) But, during 2013 it started creeping back up. I got a great new job in late 2013 that was close to home and had decent work hours, but I was once again sedentary most of the day and not really giving a hoot at what I ate, often fudging my calorie logs. Although, I was still running. I achieved one of my fitness goals and completed two half marathons and a few 5Ks. But I was still the fluff was creeping back. I started out 2014 at 166.
Cheers to a great year and (hopefully) a new lifestyle!
